    Scholarship Opportunities at BMCU


    SCHOLARSHIPS

    Blue Mountain Christian University maintains and offers a variety of scholarships for the benefit of students attending the University.


    Many of the scholarships have been made available through the generous donations of alumnae/alumni and friends of the University.


    Institutional Scholarships are funded directly by Blue Mountain Christian University and are awarded base on recipients meeting the criteria for selection. Eligibility criteria is established by the University Administration.

    Athletic and music performance scholarships are based on ability demonstrated in tryouts or auditions.


    Scholarship awards are reflective of the diverse community of students attending Blue Mountain Christian University.

    GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

    Students interested in being considered for a scholarship should complete and submit the following:

    • Current Students - An application is not required, however, current FAFSA must be on file with the Office of Financial Aid.
    • New Students - Must submit a college admission application and a general scholarship application To be considered for scholarships that require financial need, an applicant must have their FAFSA processed no later than June 1st.

    A student must apply and be accepted for admission to Blue Mountain Christian University before any scholarship application will be considered. High test scores on the ACT or SAT will enhance a student’s prospects for receiving a scholarship.


    GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

    FRESHMAN ACADEMIC

    Academic Merit Award Scholarship - competitive scholarships that are not stackable with ACT awards.

    • Lowrey Scholars - 100% tuition scholarship for 8 semesters up to 18 hours. Students must maintain a 3.25 CGPA to retain the scholarship.


    • Tyler Scholars - 75% tuition scholarship for 8 semesters up to 18 hours. Students must maintain a 3.0 CGPA to retain the scholarship.

    • Fisher Scholars- 50% tuition scholarship for 8 semesters up to 18 hours. Students must maintain a 3.0 CGPA to retain the scholarship.


    TRANSFER ACADEMIC

    Academic Excellence Award Scholarship - competitive scholarships that are not stackable with Phi Theta Kappa.

    • Presidential Scholars - 100% tuition scholarship for 4 semesters up to 18 hours. Students must maintain a 3.25 CGPA to retain the scholarship.


    • Dean's Scholars - 75% tuition scholarship for 4 semesters up to 18 hours. Students must maintain a 3.0 CGPA to retain the scholarship.

    

    • College Scholars - 50% tuition scholarship for 4 semesters up to 18 hours. Students must maintain a 3.0 CGPA to retain the scholarship.

    ATHLETICS

    • Become a BMCU Topper!


    ALUMNI GRANT

    • The Alumni Grant is offered to students who have a parent that has graduated from BMCU.


    HOMESCHOOL GRANT (FRESHMAN ONLY)

    • Awarded to students who were home educated for at least the last two years of high school. Renewable with maintenance of a 3.0 CGPA.


    SIBLING GRANT

    • The amounts may vary with a sibling grant.


    SBC SCHOLARSHIPS

    Church-Related Vocations

    • Church-Related Vocation (CRV) scholarships are available to qualifying students. An applicant must be a full-time student studying for a church-related vocation (pastoral, educational, music, youth, or mission ministry) and must be a member of a Southern Baptist church.


    • SBC-related scholarships (Acteens, Bible Drill, MK, and Speakers Tournament, etc.) are available to qualifying students.

    FINE ARTS


    Fine Arts scholarships are awarded to students interested in the performing arts. Students must complete a scholarship application and audition with the Fine Arts faculty.


    MUSIC

    BMCU's music program offers Chorale and Ensemble scholarships.

    IMPACT - DRAMA TEAM

    BMCU's Impact team offers drama scholarships. IMPACT includes a group of talented writers and actors that perform on campus and travel regionally.     BAND

    BMCU's band program offers various band scholarships. The band program consists of a marching band (BlueSound), a jazz ensemble, and a concert band.
